The Buddhist Temple of Chicago

1151 W. Leland Ave.
Chicago, IL 60640
Service is in English on Sundays at 11 am and we have many classes and events throughout the week. See the Calendar and our Facebook page for last-minute changes to our usual schedule.

Driving Directions

Due to the one-way roads in the area, it is easier to navigate to our small lot at 4639 N Racine rather than our Leland address. Racine is a one-way street best accessed off Wilson at Truman College. If our lot is full, there is usually some free street parking in the neighborhood west of the temple but not on Racine, which is permit parking only.

Public Transportation

We are right around the corner from the Wilson red line station and Broadway bus line. The Clark, Lawrence, and Montrose bus lines are also within easy walking distance.

Contact Us

For general questions about our hours or services, call (773) 334-4661. For more in-depth questions about Buddhism, contact Bill, Vice President of Religious Affairs, at budtempchi@aol.com. Bill is often available after Sunday service at the book counter to answer questions. You can also send an inquiry via our Facebook page.
