Photo Archives of the BTC

We are establishing a photographic archive of the Buddhist Temple of Chicago. This may be our last best chance to preserve BTC’s visual history and to share our legacy with the Chicago community.

We are seeking general BTC related photos to be archived and used in a historical photo display on our website and for the 75th Anniversary celebration.

So start checking those old boxes in the attics. Ask your grandparents, parents, aunts and uncles about their early days in Chicago. Locate those old photo albums.

Current items in the collection are shown below. These are organized by decade though most are undated and unidentified.
