Though BTC is an administratively independent temple, we maintain strong ties to the head temple in Kyoto, Japan. All past and current BTC ministers were ordained there.

The Maida Center
Dr. Nobudo Haneda began leading study classes at BTC and eventually moved to Berkeley. He teaches regularly and gives talks throughout the year.
