Bob Yutaka (1917-2012) and Florence Chiyeko (1920-2006) Oshita

Bob (Yutaka) Oshita and loving wife Florence (Chiyeko Wada) were lifelong members of the Buddhist Temple of Chicago (BTC).  They were part of the founding congregation that started on the Chicago’s south side following the internment camps.

BTC was an important part of their lives. It provided the robust foundation for spiritual, cultural and social endeavors and was instrumental to their and their family’s quality of life and happiness.

Bob served on the Asoka Board member and one term as church president. Flo unselfishly committed her time as a Girl Scout Leader, Sunday school teacher and Japanese school teacher. Throughout their lives they stayed committed to Buddhism, their Family and the Nisei community.
