In past years the Buddhist Temple of Chicago has offered this four session overview of Buddhism, covering the basic teachings and the historic developments in Southern, Northern and Eastern Asia and “the West.” While the same material will be used in the new class, emphasis will be given to how Buddhism has addressed issues such as inequality and patriarchy.
We invite those already attending our temple and those who previously took the class to join the discussions of what the various traditions of Buddhism can teach us about dealing with the systemic problems of our current world.
The class will be primarily an in-person meeting with a limited number of slots reserved for participants needing remote online access. To register, please contact Rev. Patti at email@example.com
